I'm Joe. I design, make and install bespoke fitted furniture and cabinetry across Sussex and Kent.
I specialise in projects where quality, clarity and attention to detail matter. Every piece is designed specifically for its space, made to order, and installed by the same hands that designed it. I take one project at a time, so each one gets the time and focus it deserves.

About me.
Before Seagull Bespoke Interiors, I spent years in finance, where attention to detail, planning and accountability were fundamental. Alongside that job, I developed practical joinery and carpentry skills through years of personal projects and commissioned work for friends and family.
In 2023, I went full-time. The plan was simple: bring the same rigour and discipline from finance to a craft-led discipline, and run a furniture business the way I'd want one to run if I were the customer.

Every project follows a clear, structured process:
Initial call
A conversation about the project, the space, and what you're trying to achieve. If it's a fit, we move to a site visit.
Design development
Proposed layouts, materials and finishes refined collaboratively until everything is resolved.Manufacture
Your furniture is made in-house, in my Hawkhurst workshop, using carefully selected materials.Installation
Fitted with precision and care, with minimal disruption and close attention to detail.
This approach ensures consistency, accuracy and a high standard of finish throughout.

The Workshop.
The workshop is based in Hawkhurst, on the border of East Sussex and Kent.
It's grown steadily alongside the business. I've kept reinvesting in tooling, space and infrastructure as the work has got more complex. That investment is what lets me hold tight control over quality while still working efficiently.
All work is fully insured. I serve clients across Sussex, Kent and the wider South East.
