Kitchens

Bespoke Kitchens Built to Last.

At Seagull Bespoke Interiors, we design and build kitchens that are made specifically for your home — not adapted from standard units.

Every kitchen is designed around the way you use the space, built in our workshop, and installed with the same level of care and attention to detail that goes into making it.

We regularly work directly with homeowners, but also collaborate with interior designers, architects and builders who are looking for a cabinetmaker to design and manufacture bespoke kitchen cabinetry.

What makes our kitchens different?

Contemporary kitchens, built properly.

Most of the kitchens we design are contemporary in style — clean lines, simple forms, and carefully chosen materials.

Rather than traditional framed cabinetry or heavily detailed joinery, we tend to focus on modern kitchens that feel calm, well-proportioned, and built to last.

  • Most of our work focuses on designing and building the cabinetry for a kitchen rather than acting as the main contractor for the entire project.

This means we concentrate on the part we specialise in — designing, building and installing high-quality cabinetry — while other trades such as electricians, plumbers and worktop specialists are usually arranged by the client, builder or interior designer.

This approach works particularly well for renovation projects where a builder or designer is already coordinating the wider work.

Of course, we’re always happy to collaborate closely with other trades to ensure everything fits and works exactly as intended.

  • We work with many of the same high-quality materials used by German and Italian kitchen manufacturers — including durable laminates, modern panel finishes, and high-performance hardware — but without the restrictions of standard cabinet sizes.

Because everything is built specifically for your home, we can design cabinetry that fits the space perfectly rather than forcing the design to work around pre-set unit dimensions.

  • The person who designs the kitchen is the same person who builds the cabinetry and installs it in your home. Nothing passes between different teams.

That means the original design intent is carried all the way through to the finished kitchen — and small details that often get lost in larger kitchen companies are handled with care.

Reeded Oak Kitchen - Ashford, Kent

The Ashford Project, 2025

This kitchen, completed in Ashford, Kent in 2025, is a genuinely one-off piece of work. Several of the materials used simply didn’t exist in the form required for the design.

The black lower cabinetry, for example, was made from a specialist board that had to be produced specifically for the project in order to achieve the exact colour and finish the design called for.

The reeded oak elements were also created by hand in our workshop, with solid oak sections carefully bonded to produce the deep, consistent fluting that defines the island and key features of the room.

Because of the level of custom material work involved, this kitchen is quite literally unique — a design that could only exist for this particular home.

Materials & Build Quality

Built like proper furniture.

Our kitchens are constructed using furniture-grade materials and traditional joinery techniques rather than mass-produced cabinet components.

Typical construction includes:

  • Birch plywood or high-quality cabinet board carcasses

  • Beautiful doors made from real timber or durable painted finishes

  • Soft-close hinges and drawer systems as standard

  • Durable worktop options including stone, timber, or composite

The aim is simple: a kitchen that feels solid, works properly, and still looks good many years from now.

Our kitchens are built using the same high-quality materials and hardware used by many leading European kitchen manufacturers.

We regularly work with products from companies such as Egger, Finsa, Blum and Häfele, chosen for their durability, precision and long-term reliability.

Workshop and Craftsmanship

Each Component Built by Hand.

Every kitchen begins in our workshop.

The cabinetry is designed, built, and assembled here, which allows us to maintain control over the quality of every component — from the way drawers run to the way doors sit.

Before anything is built, the entire kitchen is modelled in detailed 3D at millimetre accuracy. This allows us to properly check door clearances, corner details and awkward angles, avoiding the kinds of clashes that can easily be missed in a simple visual rendering.

By resolving these details at the design stage and building the cabinetry ourselves, we’re able to deliver the level of fit and finish that’s difficult to achieve with factory-produced kitchen units.

Our Process

Reducing stress.

  1. Initial Conversation: We discuss your space, what you need from the kitchen, and how you use it day to day.

  2. Design & Layout: Layouts and cabinetry are designed around the room rather than standard unit sizes.

  3. Workshop Build: Cabinetry is built in our workshop using furniture-grade materials.

  4. Installation: Everything is fitted carefully to achieve a precise, seamless finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Bespoke kitchens vary widely depending on size, materials and complexity, but most projects typically fall somewhere between £15,000 and £60,000 for the cabinetry and installation.

Smaller kitchens can be less, while larger or more complex projects can exceed this.

The best way to give an accurate price is to discuss the space and produce a detailed design and quotation.

  • Yes. The entire process — design, manufacture and installation — is handled by the same person.

This ensures nothing is lost between design and installation, and the original design intent is carried through to the finished kitchen.

  • Many of the materials and hardware we use are the same as those used by high-end European kitchen manufacturers.

The difference is that our kitchens are built specifically for your space rather than being assembled from standard unit sizes, and the same person designs, builds and installs the cabinetry.

  • We can coordinate with your chosen appliance and worktop suppliers or recommend trusted specialists.

Our focus is on designing and building cabinetry that works perfectly with the rest of the kitchen.

  • A typical project takes around 6–12 weeks from final design to installation.

This usually includes time for detailed design work, building the cabinetry in the workshop, and installing the kitchen on site.

More complex kitchens or larger renovations can take longer.

  • Yes. Because every kitchen is designed specifically for the room, we are not limited to standard cabinet sizes.

This makes it possible to work with awkward layouts, unusual dimensions or period properties where standard kitchens rarely fit well.

  • In addition to kitchens we design and build a wide range of bespoke fitted furniture including wardrobes, alcove units and media walls.

Many clients choose to continue the same materials and design language throughout their home.

  • Yes. Our workshop is based near Hawkhurst, and we regularly design and install kitchens across Sussex and Kent, including Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Cranbrook, Hastings, Heathfield, Sevenoaks and surrounding areas.
