This project involved creating an 11ft floor-to-ceiling storage wall in the customer’s kitchen, complemented by a smaller unit tucked under the kitchen island. The main shelving and cupboards are crafted from moisture-resistant MDF, painted in Dulux Chalk White eggshell, with hardwood (meranti) face frames on the shelves. The base incorporates a log store with softwood battens for airflow, while one door features reeded glass to double as a drinks cabinet. Two open shelves, spanning 1.8m, are reinforced with steel brackets painted to match the wall. A custom timber column was also constructed, plasterboarded, and skimmed for a seamless, fitted appearance. Weeks of meticulous work delivered a functional and stylish solution that the client was thrilled with.
