LED-Lit Bookcase
A 2.0m bookcase with dimmable LED lighting and a keyboard shelf hidden behind shaker-style cupboard doors.

This bookcase needed to do two jobs: hold books and ornaments on open shelves, and give a keyboard somewhere to live out of sight.
I built a 2.0m run of cupboards below and shelves above, sprayed white, with the back panel in Farrow & Ball Verdigris Green. The upper shelves are adjustable to suit changing storage needs, and the lower doors are shaker-style, with brass-finish knob and bar handles.
Behind the shaker doors, a drawer section hides the keyboard shelf, so it stays out of sight until it's needed. Dimmable LED strips are built into the shelving, giving the books and the green back panel a warm glow.
