White Panelled Window Seat
A panelled bench seat with lift-up lids and storage underneath, built wall to wall into a living room window recess.

This window recess in a living room was empty, just bare walls and a floor. It had nowhere to sit and no storage.
I built a bench seat to fill it wall to wall. The seat lifts in two halves, each on its own Blum stay, with storage underneath. The front is bead and butt panelling, and I carried the same panelling up behind the seat and along both sides of the recess.
The inside is birch ply. Everything you see is sprayed white to match the window frames and skirting, so the seat looks like part of the room.
